The Autumn Table...

A little bit of me to share with you........
Doesn't it give you a good feeling inside to walk into your dining room and see a beautiful table that just entices one to envision the beauty, warmth and magic of autumn?  I recently went to Michael's and found these beautiful, scented candles on sale, and I couldn't pass them up.  My dining room table was just longing for these to grace it's center for the season.   There's nothing like candles or a warm blanket by the fireplace to get me through the cold months.  Isn't there something special or cozy that you do to give you that warm fuzzy in the cold months?  A nice cup of hot tea, cocoa or cider with a cinnamon stick...or maybe just a pair of warm, fuzzy slippers with your favorite robe to snuggle up with.  I would love to hear what some of your favorite things to do in the cool weather that bring a smile and keep you happy.

Thank you for spending a few moments with me today : )
Have a wonderful week, and enjoy this colorful season in all it's glory.

Halloween Altered Tin..Nestie Card Set

Happy Monday Friends,
Are you ready for Halloween yet?  Well, ready or not....it will be here in a couple of weeks.  It seems as we get older that these years go by so much faster than they used to, doesn't it?
Well, today I would like to share with you a set that I made for Halloween.  I have never altered a bandaid tin before, so I thought Halloween would be a nice time to give it a try.  Nice to put a few treats and goodies in for the teacher or maybe just someone else special who might enjoy a little keepsake that they can display on their desk or shelf for the season.
For my card, I wanted to try some paper piecing.  I do alot of stamps and digis, but not much with paper piecing, so I decided to put my nesties to use and make some nestie pumpkins and a crow for a matching set with the tin for Halloween.
I hope you enjoyed my Halloween set today.  What do you think?  Do you like the nestie images, or do you prefer stamps and digis?  I think I love them all the same myself.  It is fun to switch things up sometimes.  Have a great week everyone!

Birthday Wishes for my son....

A quick post today to share with you a card that I made for my son's 14th birthday today.  Yeah, I know it's a little childish for a 14-year old, but he loves dogs...and animals in general, and I am a little short on dog images that are more adult-themed.  He really loves it and never mentioned that it looked too childish.  This young man has had a rough time of it for many years and is still struggling through many medical issues.  I wanted to make a fun card for him that would make him smile.  He is still undergoing many tests and has had a couple of diagnosis right now that he will require treatment for for the rest of his life.  This is actually a blessing though that there is treatment.  The one that we are trying to dodge right now is cancer.  If we can be cleared of cancer of his thyroid, I think we will ALL breathe a sigh of relief!!  We hope that he can enjoy his special day today and that it will leave him with happy memories.

I used some wood paper from McMahon Five Designs inside and out on this card.  The inside pocket is made from wood paper as well as the fencing.  I have also embossed and punched onto the papers.  I've always loved the wood paper on masculine cards.  It adds so much to the look.

I hope you enjoyed my card today, and want to thank you for stopping by for a look.  I always appreciate those that take the time to leave a friendly comment.  It's adds a bright moment to my day : )
Hugs and Blessings,

Angel Dreams..Baby card

Hi everyone...We are having a dreary, cold day here.  I hope you are all having nicer weather wherever you are!  I was ready to do a sweet, frilly, feminine card, so I would like to share with you a card I made using a new image from Studio 313.  Isn't it precious?  I used a couple of wood papers, flowers, gems and flourishes that are all available at the McMahon Five Designs Store

I don't know who this card is going to go to. LOL... I don't know anyone who has a little baby or is even expecting.  Oh well...it may come in handy sometime.   Guessing I could always use it in a scrapbook for my daughter.

Thanks for visiting me today, and I hope you enjoy my card!  I am going to go snuggle up my kitten now and stay warm.  I will be back soon though.  I have a birthday card to share for my son....so stay tuned and drop back soon.

I am entering this into the Midnight Madness Challenge for this week.. Have a great week everyone : )

Announcing Studio 313 Images Now Available Through McMahon Five Designs Store

Good morning all...An exiting morning here and for the whole McMahon Five Design Team.  We would all like to welcome Shawne and Studio 313 to our family.  We have all been working hard to showcase some images for the opening today featuring Studio 313 images through the McMahon Five Design Store.

Several of Studio 313 images were used on this card to create a scene festive for Fall and Halloween. I used multiple coloring mediums to get the look I was trying to achieve including copic markers, prismacolor watercolor pencils, inks and chalks. I added plenty of sparkle and shine, some corner dies...black pearls and adhesive embellishment found at the M5D store. The Boo balloon was created with nestabilities including one of the newly released lace circle nesties also found at M5D. Stop over and see the entire array of M5D products being offered for unique, fun and creative crafting. There is something for everyone, every style and flavor of crafting, and it will be sure to become one of your favorite one-stop craft shops.
