Bunny Fairy Card For Easter, Birthday, Tooth Fairy, Best Wishes

I came across this stamp the other day and thought it would be a good one to use for this time of the year. With Easter coming up, I thought the bunny was an appropriate image, but as I was working on it, I was thinking that this would be such a great card to give to a sweet little person that may have just lost a tooth and this card could be from the Tooth (bunny) Fairy. It would actually be suitable for many occasions such as birthday, Best Wishes, Thank you, etc... This is a special card that I made as a part of Our Ebay design team's (CSPT) Sweet Reward's promotion that gives our buyers the opportunity to purchase our cards with a lower opening price than our average auctions. I hope that you enjoy it and click to enlarge the pictures to see more of the detail. There are individual pink gems as the dots on the bunny's dress as well as the rosey cheeks.
If you like this card, please leave me a comment to let me know that you stopped by and what you think.
Thank you very much and have a nice evening!!
Card will be on Ebay auction from 2/28/2009-3/10/2009. Hop on over and have a look : )

Easter Bunny Trio Card Candle and Altered Canister Gift Set

Hi, I know it has been a little while since I posted a card on here, but my son is home on leave right now, and I have been spending as much time with him as I can. I actually made this set while chatting with him into the wee hours of the night. He is a very encouraging audience! I have been enjoying making these gift sets and just really love this one. This is another Easter Gift Set. It is done in such pretty Spring colors, and the hand-stamped candle and the altered canister are all a matching set.
I have not listed this gift set on Ebay yet, as Auctiva image hosting is having some difficulities right now, and I really feel that if I don't list all of the pictures that you won't get to really appreciate how gorgeous this set really is. As soon as I can get pictures loaded up to Ebay, I will have this set available for sell. If you view this set, please comment and let me know what you think. Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!

St. Patrick's Day Pot of Gold at The End of the Rainbow Shaker Card

I really love shaker cards, so I couldn't pass up the chance to make one for St. Patrick's Day. This is a hand drawn, cut and paper-pieced card. I added the metallic shamrocks to the shaker which flow around freely. The pot is filled with cut, shiny, sparkly gold coins. It is such a rich looking card and so much fun too! This will be my last St. Patrick's Day card for this year. My oldest son is coming home on leave for a few weeks, so I won't have time to get another St. Patrick's Day card in before he leaves. I am thinking Easter ideas already, so that will be next.
This card will be on Auction on Ebay from February 18 thru February 25. Drop by and have a look at it as well as my other cards.
Have a great day!!

Hoppy Easter Tilda Magnolia Card

I wanted to share with you a card that I made for a really sweet friend of mine. It is another Tilda card from the Magnolia collection. This is just the cutest image. I took this picture at night, so the colors are not as vivid as a daytime picture would be. I may come in here and edit pictures when I get some taken in natural daylight. My friend loves pink, so I really wanted to add alot of pink to the card for her without overpowering the card with pink. I think it turned out just right. I hope she loves it!

Thanks for stopping by and having a look.

Vintage St. Patrick's Day Girl Collage Card

Well, here is another of my firsts. This is a week of firsts for me I guess. I wanted to make a card for St. Patrick's Day and could not find a stamp that I could use, so I decided to give one of these vintage prints a try. I normally am not fond of the vintage prints, because they sort of take away from the whole stamping/art part of creating a card. However, I did find it fun to really glitz up the image as well as add some really pretty collage accents to make this card more fun. So, wa la, I now have a St. Patrick's Day card. I may even try to do one of these again sometime. I guess artists should always be open to trying new things even if the first impressions may not always come off as an instant love. If you happen to stop by, please tell me what you think.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

Easter Bunny & Matching Hand Stamped Candle Gift set

I was so excited to try out stamping a candle. It is so much fun. I am going to do more of these. This is such a great way to add a gift to your greeting card too. I chose to use a Spring image, because as I have been saying for awhile now, I am soooo ready for Spring. I love the Easter colors and the beautifully dry embossed shimmery yellow paper. For this card, simplicity is beauty. Not too much, not too little. Just enough to add the perfect touches. I know that I have really up to this point only shared my passion for creating cards, but I just love creating period! One thing I really love to do when I give a gift to my family or friends is make a gift basket and wrap it beautifully with lots of ribbons and embellishments. I know that I couldn't really make up a basket for this set that has to be sent through the mail, but I couldn't resist wrapping the candle and curling the multi-colored ribbons to tie it shut. I just love the look of a package like that! Sometimes, I think that my friends enjoy my baskets and wrapping more than the actual gifts themselves. That's ok though.
Anyway, this set sold on Ebay, but keep checking back as I will have more sets like this one as well as some other new and exciting items to come.
Thanks for stopping by : )

Love is Blind Elephant and Dog Friendship Card

I wasn't sure where I was going with this card until I actually started doing it, and it began to come together pretty much on it's own. I am a very spontaneous creator. I almost never have a plan before beginnging to work on something. I may have an idea in mind of what I want my card to portray, but when it comes right down to it, it has to sort of melt into place as I go along. Anyway, this card is actually sweet. Look at the smitten look that dog has while gazing up at the elephant. This is about a love against all odds. Coming together despite differences, despite what is expected and loving unconditionally. It seems sometimes that animals are much more able to do this than humans are. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all look beyond each others differences and accept people for who they are and love them anyway? You never know what you might be missing by not giving someone a chance. Life is too short. Enjoy what you have, count your blessings, learn from your mistakes and be kind to others. How's that for a story behind a card?
Have a great day!

Tender Toile Easter Girls Victorian Card

This is my second Easter card for this year. I know that I am really pushing the Easter season on a little early, but the weather is finally starting to warm up, and I am really ready for spring. Anyway, this is part of a very pretty stamp set from Stampin' Up. I love all of the images in this set. I wanted to try this set out first with the image outlined in the same color scheme as the card. I really love the look and think that just about any spring color would look just as beautiful done this way. I wanted a little hint of victorian in this card because as you all know, I love that look so much. I used my corner dies and dry embossed the white background paper. The sweet hardware has been glittered in silver and some silver beads finish off the outer corners. I think that the baby blue dew drops add just the right touch without overdoing it with this card. I am pleased with how the whole card sort of flows with the same theme. I think I will have to use this image again before the season is over.

Gibson Girl Cracked Glass Card

I am always wanting to try new things, and for me, this was new. I have never tried the cracked glass technique before, and I felt like this was the perfect image to try it with. I really was going after the aged look but with a sophisticated, elegant finish. It reminds me of something that you would see displayed in your Grandmother's house. I did not want to overdo it with this card, because it really doesn't need much to portray it's beauty. I added the Vintage corner dies, because I love them so much, and they really are a must with a card like this one. Then, the beads and the ribbon really were all it took to finish the look that I wanted to achieve. This card will be on my Ebay auctions from Feb. 4 - Feb. 14. Click on my Ebay link at the side if you would like to view it on auction.

Easter Tilda

A very sweet friend of mine sent me this adorable stamp, and I could not wait to use it. I know it is a little bit early for Easter cards yet, but I think we all need a little pick me up with how long and cold that this Winter has been. I know that I am very much looking forward to Spring.
This image is from the Magnolia collection. It is Tilda all decked out in her Easter Bunny costume and ready for the big day. The card has color combinations of pinks and purples with a handmade coordinating double-layered envelope that seals with a pretty sheer purple and silver bow to make it look like a present.
This card will be on Ebay auction from Feb 1 through Feb 11. If you would like to view my auctions, please click the link on the side of the page. If you would like to see just this card, the link is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=180325446569
It may be a few days before I get another card done. I will update as soon as I have one ready.
Have a great week!
Carolyn
