MMSC51 Celebration of Friendship...and a bittersweet goodbye...

For everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven......

As I sit to write this post, so many thoughts are entering my mind.  I have had the best time sharing and playing with my MM Design Team sisters.  I have learned from them, laughed with them, cried with them and shared much of my life with them as they have with me.  We have become a sort of family if you will.  It is with a heavy heart that I am ending this journey with them and stepping down from the team.  This week will be my last DT card for Midnight Madness.  I will treasure every moment that I have spent on this amazing team with so many amazing women, but I have come to a time that I am needed much more here at home and with my family.  I do not have the time to dedicate as I should to be an active member of a Design Team anymore.   My husband just returned home from being away on a job assignment for a year, and we need to get our lives back to the way they were and also get many things done to prepare our house for selling....not to mention most importantly my kids.  We are coming up on summer and the outdoors will be calling us.  We want to do more active things with our kids and to also give them the attention and care that they need in all areas.  I have to have this as my main focus.

I will by no means be leaving altogether.  I love crafting and I love my blogging friends, but I will say that there may be longer stretches between posts.  Maybe along the way though, I may let you in on a little bit of what life is offering me too, so my posts may not all be craft related.  Please do stay with me, and we can venture into not necessarily a new journey for me, but rather combining what has always been there...my love for my family and my home....and my love for crafting.

Now, I would like to present to you my final MMDT card.....A tribute to Priscilla and the team.... I used Priscilla's digi birds and some Martha Stewart punched butterflies to gracefully flutter around this lovely friendship poem that expresses what I feel for my DT sisters and family.   I hope you enjoy my creation and that you will consider giving this sketch a try as well.  I would love to come visit you and see your interpretation of this week's sketch.

The envelope box was made with Priscilla's envelope kit that you can find here.

Congratulations to our MMM- #18 Sue Drees and MMR winners this week:
#2 Valarie F, #25 Leigh, #35 Charlene, #37 Risa, #39 Holly, #43 America

A big thank you to our MM sponsors this week:  D'Amour Allure (weekly sponsor) and Sunflowers & Dragonflies (monthly sponsor). We appreciate your support.   Please visit the MM blog for details on what our sponsors are offering this month.

Now, my sweet friends, it is time that I must say goodbye and a huge THANK YOU to my team mates. I hope to visit them every chance I can get to see what they grace this blog world with...and what they inspire all of us with.  Perhaps, we will all come together again at some time.  I won't say goodbye to the rest of you, as I do hope to continue to drop in and catch up from time to time.   Enjoy life and take each opportunity as it comes.

"I shall pass through this world but once.
Any good, therefore, that I can show to any human being,
let me do it now.
Let me not defer nor neglect it,
for I shall not pass this way again."

~~Stephen Grellet~~

May many blessings be showered upon you my friends.

Hugs,

M5D Joys of Spring Card

Welcome to another M5D creation.  I had alot of fun making this card.  I wanted to make a spring card that was eye catching, cute and pretty at the same time.  I used two digis from the McMahon Five Designs store to come up with this card.  There are so many cool things that M5D store has to offer, and they keep getting more things in all the time.  I can never seem to wait to want to use them all.  I have used some of the beautiful flourish rhinestone gems on here along with some of the individual gemstones in the center of the flowers.  The background paper is from the Mariposa pack and as always plenty of stickles to make the image sparkle.  All of which can be bought right at the M5D store.  Don't forget that if you are interested in making a Father's Day card, that M5D has a wide variety of wood papers that make some of the most wonderful masculine cards for the man in your life.

I used Chelsea's sketch for the CLP#24.  What a great sketch.

A close-up of these cute little birds tweeting with happiness.

Thank you for taking some time to visit with me today.  I hope you enjoy your day, and if you leave me a comment, a special thank you to you.  I appreciate your thoughts and comments on my work.  You bring a smile and inspire me to keep creating.

M5D Splish..Splash..I Was Takin' A Bath .. tweet tweet..

Doesn't this image remind you of that old song: Splish, Splash I Was Takin' A Bath"?  I thought so.   Anyway, this is just a cute and fun card made with some M5D products.  Of course, the image is a M5D digi from Sue.  Just the cutest little birdie.  She has lots of these kinds of cute images available in her store to create with.  They are great for spring and summer too!  I also used some of their wood paper for this one that I dry embossed and sponged.  Many of the wood papers that M5D offers can easily be cut and dry embossed and always adds a special touch to any card made with it.  The wood paper is awesome for Father's day cards which I will be showcasing coming up soon....

Thanks for peepin' at my card today.  I hope it brought a smile and some wonderful thoughts of spring.  Have a beautiful day, and thank you to all who are kind enough to leave me a comment.  You are the icing on my cake ; )

MMSC49 Yummy Cupcake Recipe Box

Good April Morning to you all... I have a little something different to show you today for my MMSC49 sample this week.  I decided to alter a recipe box.  I had this fabulous cupcake image to use from our monthly sponsor:  Sunflowers and Dragonflies ...which thank you very much btw... so, I thought I would make up a recipe box just for sweets.  As I was making this, I was really beginning to think that cupcake was real, and luckily, I did not take a bite out of it.  Doesn't it look just scrumptious?

M5D Card..If I Had A Flower For Every Time I Thought Of You....

I am not sure about the weather across the country, but we have had a wonderful taste of spring here...maybe even summer with the temps in the 80's, so in celebration of this glorious season, I give you my floral garden card...Seems to have been one of my favorite things to do lately.  I can't get enough of the beauty of spring, combined with elegance, femininity and a touch of vintage.  The floral image is a McMahon Five Design's digi image.  Isn't it lovely?  You can almost smell the wonderful fragrance of those flowers.  The M5D has recently gotten an amazing stock of new items that I could not resist stocking up on.  If you haven't already been there, now is a great time to have a look at all the wonderful products offered.

What a lovely sentiment this is.  One of my favorites, and it is surrounded by gorgeous prima roses that adds such a soft touch to this card

Thank you very much for taking a moment to visit with me.  I hope you enjoy the view and that you will stop back again soon.  Please leave a comment if you would like to share with me your thoughts on my card.  Have a beautiful day.

MMSC48 Alice in Wonderland Card

Hi Everyone ~ I hope you all had a wonderful Easter.  Our weather here is beautiful.  More like summer than spring, but it is going to go back to normal temps in the next few days.  It won't be long though before the warmer weather is here to stay.

Have any of you seen the new movie out... "Alice in Wonderland"?  My daughter went to see it and loved it.  I have not seen the new movie, so I am still thinking back to the old one that I saw when I was younger, and that is what this card reminds me of.  I think my favorite character was the Cheshire Cat, but didn't you love when they went around trying to paint all of the flowers, and the Queen just kept saying:  "Off With Their Heads"?

Did I bling this card out or what?  I decided to use just green and white, but with the pearls, gems, mirrored butterflies and fancy edging, I think it stands out pretty well.

Congrats to our MMM and MMR winners this week:
MMM-Gina Cagle
MMR- Pam124
MMR- Holly Miller
