MMSC35 Antiqued Card

Hi everyone!  I am back for a brief blog post visit.   I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and will have a prosperous New Year!  It's been very busy here, but we all enjoyed our Christmas together and all the time spent with family.  We have had some bone-chilling temperatures here and lots and lots of snow, so plenty of shoveling, school delays and cancellations already and cranking up the heat!  We are still enjoying the last days of my husband's visit to us, so I am not going to be back to my routine blogging habits for another week yet, but I do want to share my MMSC sample with you this week and would like welcome our new guest designer for January:  Grace  ..  She is an amazing card artist, and I am very much looking forward to working with her and gaining much inspiration from her talents.  I would also like  to give a shout out to our amazing sponsors for this month:

The Prize they are so generously offering is:

You can read more details on the MMSC main page at Priscilla's Blog.

My card was used with this vintage image from D'Amour Allure.  I chose to go with the antiqued, distressed look with a touch of class and elegance throughout for my sample.  I dry embossed both solid color background papers and used an around the paper punch from Martha Stewart to frame the image.  Glassy glaze was used on the image, a fancy swirl added with classic gold beads wrapped around the bottom of the image and a matching flower to complete the personality behind this creation.

A bit of dimension as the image was popped.

We hope that you will join us this week.  This is a very fun sketch to work with.  I can't wait to see what you all come up with.  Thanks for dropping by for a look today, and please leave me a comment to let me know what you think of my interpretation of the sketch.  I look forward to your feedback on my work and always appreciate someone making the effort to let me know their thoughts.  Have a wonderful week, and I will be visiting you all again very soon!!

Blessings for a Happy and Healthy New Year!
