Gurlee Girl Halloween Witch Card MMSC72

It's a late post for me tonight, but I wanted to get this in before calling it a night.  It's going to be a rough week here, and don't guess I will be back on to blog until at least the weekend.  Sharing a Gurlee Girl Halloween card tonight for the MMSC72 midnight madness challenge.  It's hard to make these cute little images spooky for Halloween, so I just didn't really go for that.  I like the less traditional colors for this card, and did add a googly eyed, sparkly spider in the spirit of the occasion.  The gorgeous rhinestone flourishes can be found at the McMahon Five Design Store.  I love these things and can't get enough of them.   If you enlarge the picture, you will see all of the other little details added to this card.

Thanks for coming by for a visit.  I hope you all have a wonderful evening and that you have enjoyed viewing my card.
Hugs,

Fabulous Fall Card

Good morning friends.  Well, try as we might, we cannot hold onto summer any longer.  This makes me sad to see the days growing shorter and cooler, but it is inevitable and does happen every year.  You would think I would be used to it by now at my age ;)  Once I get over my grieving at the loss of summer, I will enjoy the anticipation of the beautiful colors of fall, the smell of the leaves and sounds of them crunching under my feet.  The wind swirling them through the air and kids jumping and playing in them.  To give me a boost at the mood that Fall can bring, I have decided to make and share a Fall card with you today.  The colors really are so pretty.  Have you seen the pumpkins out in abundance already and the gorgeous fall flowers gracing our porches?  It is a lovely sight to see.  I went with the simple pumpkin image but accented with glossy accents and glitter.  I added many gemstone and die cut flourishes and some of those wonderful fall flowers to really dress up my card.  I am very happy with the result and do enjoy just looking at it.  I hope you do too.

I hope that you are enjoying the quickly approaching season too and thank you for coming over for a visit with me today.   Feel free to leave me a comment and share your thoughts of Fall too.  Do you love it...are you sad to see summer go....does it make you feel as if the year has gone by too fast, or is this the one season that you wait all year to see?  Look forward to hearing from you.

Have a wonderful day and many blessings to you my friends.

Winter Girl Christmas Card CLP-29

Happy Thursday everyone!  This is an odd week for me this week as far as posting cards, because hubby has been out of town, so I have had a few more minutes to pay attention to my blog than I usually do.  I took advantage of this for my posting, because it doesn't happen that often, and he is to be back home this afternoon.
I took a liking to the sketch this month that Chelsea posted over at the CLP challenge blog, so I thought I would give it a try.  I admit that I had some trouble fitting it as nicely as I had hoped, because the image is a little bit big for this particular sketch, but I took a little bit of liberty with the sketch and still think it follows pretty nicely.  Chelsea has some of the cutest images, and this has been one of my favorites to work with during the winter months, so I pulled it out and this is what it became.  I really like the way it turned out.  Very festive and seems to really give me the feel of Christmas just looking at it.  I added a chipboard sentiment at the top along with a couple of poinsettias and some crystal flourishes and a lushious velvet red ribbon to the inside.

Hope you enjoy, and if you would like to play along, hop over to Chelsea's blog and post your entry.  There is also lots of awesome inspiration there if you need a mojo boost.
Thanks for spending some time with me today.  Please leave me a comment, share your thoughts, and let me know what you think of my card.  I enjoy hearing from you and look forward to reading your inspiring comments.

Have a wonderful day!

Hugs,

Thanksgiving Harvest Tyiptych Card

Happy Labor Day everyone!!  Hope you are enjoying the long weekend.  We went to the county fair this weekend.  I completely believe that there is nothing better than cotton candy and funnel cake from the fair!  Oh, if only you could get that just anytime you wanted to.  : )

Today I am sharing with you a card that I just recently discovered how to make.  Isn't this the coolest design?  You know?  You could make a card like this too.  There are free templates available to anyone who is interested in making a card like this HERE.  How cool is that?  I love the fresh new look, and I have been trying to do new things with my cards more frequently.  After awhile, square cards can tend to get boring, and it feels good to switch it up every now and then.

I decided to make this a Thanksgiving card, because I have not done any of those yet.  I have done Christmas before Thanksgiving, so I at least wanted to get one Thanksgiving card done.  I don't give too many of them out, so it is not a beat the clock thing to get them done, but it is still nice to have one done anyway.

Sort of a glorified gatefold, don't you think so?

I do love how it looks as if a gate is opening when you open this card.

A look at the back side of the card...

I would like to enter this into the Whimsical Ink Sorority Challenge to make a card like this and to thank them for introducing this type of card to me.  I hope you enjoy my card and that perhaps I have inspired some of you to try this or even just to try something new.  Thanks for coming to visit me today, and I appreciate your comments or thoughts on my card.

Have a lovely day and end to the holiday weekend.  See you soon my friends.

Hugs,
