Winter Girl Christmas Card CLP-29

Happy Thursday everyone!  This is an odd week for me this week as far as posting cards, because hubby has been out of town, so I have had a few more minutes to pay attention to my blog than I usually do.  I took advantage of this for my posting, because it doesn't happen that often, and he is to be back home this afternoon. 

I took a liking to the sketch this month that Chelsea posted over at the CLP challenge blog, so I thought I would give it a try.  I admit that I had some trouble fitting it as nicely as I had hoped, because the image is a little bit big for this particular sketch, but I took a little bit of liberty with the sketch and still think it follows pretty nicely.  Chelsea has some of the cutest images, and this has been one of my favorites to work with during the winter months, so I pulled it out and this is what it became.  I really like the way it turned out.  Very festive and seems to really give me the feel of Christmas just looking at it.  I added a chipboard sentiment at the top along with a couple of poinsettias and some crystal flourishes and a lushious velvet red ribbon to the inside.

Thanksgiving Harvest Tyiptych Card

Happy Labor Day everyone!!  Hope you are enjoying the long weekend.  We went to the county fair this weekend.  I completely believe that there is nothing better than cotton candy and funnel cake from the fair!  Oh, if only you could get that just anytime you wanted to.  : )

Today I am sharing with you a card that I just recently discovered how to make.  Isn't this the coolest design?  You know?  You could make a card like this too.  There are free templates available to anyone who is interested in making a card like this HERE.  How cool is that?  I love the fresh new look, and I have been trying to do new things with my cards more frequently.  After awhile, square cards can tend to get boring, and it feels good to switch it up every now and then. 

I decided to make this a Thanksgiving card, because I have not done any of those yet.  I have done Christmas before Thanksgiving, so I at least wanted to get one Thanksgiving card done.  I don't give too many of them out, so it is not a beat the clock thing to get them done, but it is still nice to have one done anyway.

What a lovely surprise from my sweet friend: Chelsea.  Thank you so much Chelsea for this wonderful award.  I am very honored to have been chosen to recieve it and thank you very much for everything else that you have done for me in the past.  You are one of the most talented ladies that I know of, and always so kind to share and give a helping hand when needed.   I treasure your friendship and feel blessed to have come to know you in that last couple of years.

I don't like posting pictures of my family online, so I will share this picture of a beautiful rainbow just before evening that we were blessed to see a few weeks ago after a nice rain.  Miracles from God are always a favorite of mine...especially ones that you can take a picture of and enjoy over and over again.

Cherished Teddy Christmas Angel Card

Hi my friends~  I want to thank you all for your supportive comments and encouragment since my last post.  It really means alot to me, and I am so grateful for my blogging friends. 

I had this card and post ready to go for a good while now, and I thought I might as well post it now to give you all something new from me to look at.  Almost all I have really crafted lately has been Christmas cards for my family and friends.  I want to be sure to have them done for the holiday season.  If I ever do finish them and have any kind of time at all, I may do something different.  I have to play it by ear and take it a day at a time.   I just never know what each day will bring anymore, so I have to just wait and see how they go.

Chilly Snowman Wishes...with a twist on colors..

Well, here it is...my last Christmas in July card this year.  This is another Cuddly Buddly image.  I do think that they are really cute for kid's cards.  This card is for one of my boys.  The twist for this is that his favorite color is orange, and it is hard to make a Christmas card look Christmas-y with Fall colors, but try as I might....orange, green and brown it was.  I was pleasantly surprised at how nicely it did turn out.  I added some holly and the wood paper behind the window of the snowman from McMahon Five Designs digital images and some punched snowflakes, and I think it passes for a Christmas card.  At least he will be happy that he has an orang-y Christmas card, right?

I am happy to have been able to post so much through July due to my quest to create Christmas cards.  I do think my posts will be just a bit more spaced out now though.  We have alot to accomplish in these last few weeks of summer to prepare for a new school year, and I really do want to savor every single second of summer left that I can.   Our garden is just growing in abundance, and as thrilled as I am about that, we have some work to do to care for before and during harvesting.  We have been lucky enough to enjoy many of the vegetables already, but there is much more growing, and I look forward to those sweet ears of corn and meaty tomatos ; )

Well, on that note, I hope you all enjoy the rest of this wonderful summer.  Thank you for spending some time with me this summer and leaving me such encouraging comments.  Hope to get around to visit many of you soon too.

Teddy Bear Kisses and Sweet Honey Wishes Christmas Card

Good evening all....Well, last night I showed you a card for my niece, and tonight I am showing you a card for my sweet, little great niece.  She is a little doll too, so for her, I made this Cuddly Buddly Christmas card.  I tried to make it girly and sweet for her.  She doesn't live near me, and I miss her like crazy, so I really hope she will like this and think of me when she sees it.

Eskimo Kisses Christmas Card

I hope that you are all enjoying my array of Christmas cards this week.  This card is for my niece.  Her favorite colors are Blue and Silver, so her wish is my command : )  I hope she really loves this cute image by Mo's Digital Pencil.  I think it is just adorable.   I have been experimenting more and more using my copic markers to color with, and this is one of my trials.  Luckily, this one didn't turn out too bad.  Some of mine.....well, I won't say.  I do hope that I can get better with more practice.   Those beautiful flowers on the card are from McMahon Five Designs.  Aren't they to die for?  I can't wait to order some more fab items from McMahon Five soon.  They are always stocking the store with the latest and greatest things.  Gotta love that : )
