Ponderings...

Hi Friends,

As you have noticed for the past year or more, I have very few posts to offer.  I am considering closing my blog.  Life has taken over my time for now, and I have very little time.. if any for crafting.  I have thoroughly enjoyed the time that I was able to craft and share with all of you.  I look forward to a time when that may be able to happen again, and I will leave my blog up if anyone ever wants to come and have a look at my past work.  However, I do not foresee myself posting anything new for some time.  As much as I have loved having my blog and the friendships that I have made as a result, I do not regret that I now must focus my time on being a Mom and doing what life has called for me to do right now.  Life takes unexpected turns sometimes, and we have to do what we need to when things come our way that require our attention.  My family means everything to me, and because of that, my attention will be solely on them and meeting whatever their needs are.

I feel very blessed to have found so many friends on here and hold those friendships close to my heart always.  I wish you all many blessings in your lives in the days to come and know that our paths will cross again sometime when the time is right.  I will end on that note and a quote :)

"The Most Important Work You Will Ever Do Will Be Within The Walls Of Your Own Home."  (President Harold B. Lee).

Hugs and God's Blessings to all of you,

Merry Christmas to all...and a few cards to share :)

Hi Everyone,
Just popping in to say Merry Christmas to everyone, and Happy New Year!
Here are the very few cards that I got made to send out this Christmas.  I just don't have the time I once did for crafting.  Maybe I will again one day, I hope, but until then, I hope you enjoy my creations and your holidays!
Take care and Christmas Blessings to all now and into the New Year!

Halloween Fall Altered Container Project Scarecrow M5D

Hi everyone.  I hope you are enjoying this crisp, fall day.  I wanted to share with you a project that I am surprised that I finished before halloween ;)  This is an altered container that I dressed up to use as a treat carrier for halloween.  I used one of the M5D scarecrow digis for this project that you can find over in their store.  It was pretty fun to make.  Sometimes I like the change in doing an altered project instead of a flat card all the time.  Not that I have even done many of those in a long time.  I am really trying to get a thing or two done in my craft room these days.
I hope you might find a bit of inspiration here and come up with some awesome project idea for the holidays coming.

Thank you for dropping in for a visit today.  Hope to see you again soon.  Have a wonderful day :)

Happy Autumn, Happy Halloween Card...BOO!

Hi Everyone,
I know it's been ages since I have posted anything on here.  Life has been just too busy this past year.  I have missed you all very much though and hope to get back to blogging regularly at some point.  I hope you have been doing well.  Are you getting ready for the Fall festivities coming about?  The colors are just so beautiful this time of year.
I needed a halloween card, so I was pushed to do a CAS card especially since I cannot find a brand new paper stack that I bought for halloween last year and have never even used yet.  I am not sure it will ever be recovered from our move.  So, I had to resort to simple white, orange and black.  It seems to have worked for what I needed, and I am happy.
I hope to have some Christmas cards and maybe if I am lucky, even some little projects to share with you this year if time is on my side.
Have a great Sunday everyone!  :)

Emma's Easter

She's not looking to happy to be in there, is she, but she is the one who forced herself to fit into that basket.  I would never do such a thing to her.  To be honest, all three of our cats tried to fit into there, but she is the only one that succeeded in getting her whole body in.  She has always loved to snuggle into small containers like that.  Just thought I would share the fun with you and hopefully bring a smile to your day.
I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter and Spring break.  Have a wonderful weekend (:

Poppin' in to say "hello" with an M5D release

Hi Everyone,
How are you all doing?  Is everyone taking a chance on the mega millions lottery? lol ;)  Cannot believe all the hype this is getting.  Anyway, good luck to you if you are playing.
So, onto the real subject of my post...I have made this card for the M5D releases this week.  Such a sweet, cute image.  Perfect for spring, and it totally reminded me of Pooh Bear...my favorite bear ever :)  I couldn't resist using spring colors to keep me in the mood for this beautiful time of year.
Thanks for "poppin'" in for a peek, and drop by M5D to have a look at the other realeases too.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend and Spring Break!

Spring Beauty...

Hi Friends,  I couldn't resist sharing all the beauty that I am getting to devour at our house with the early spring we are having this year.  Can you believe these summer temperatures we have been having already?   It is to get to 84 degrees today.  Wish my kids did not have to be in school and could enjoy the day outside :)
These sights are good for my heart and for my soul.  I am just absorbing all the beauty that God and spring has blessed us with.  I am sure that you are all taking in the lovely sights where you are too.  What a wonderful time of year it is!
If I am not in touch before then, I want to wish you all a very Happy and Blessed Easter.  Enjoy the warm spring/summer temperatures too.  I will be back soon...Take care :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

My daughter found these THREE four-leaf clovers while waiting for me to pick her up from school on Thursday.  The Luck 'o the Irish must have been with her ;)  She should share some of that with me I think ;)

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone.  Hope you are all enjoying these summer-like temperatures.  We are definitely longing for summer here now.  Have a great weekend :)

A Beautiful Scene

Happy Sunday Everyone!
I took a little break from all the moving chaos this weekend and for the first time since it's release, can you guess which movie I decided to watch?  I have to say that my jaw dropped right from the beginning with the gorgeous wedding decor in this movie.  I wanted to go back and do my wedding over again with all the gorgeous floral eye candy the way they had in this scene.  Just thought I would share the picture with you on here as probably many of you have already seen.  Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.  I must get back to work with unpacking boxes and cleaning....ugh...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi Friends,
It has been quite some time since I have popped in to say hello and try to catch up a bit.  Well, our moving day has finally arrived next week, so we are wrapping things up and looking forward to the day that this will all be behind us.  My hubby is already in our new house and is really loving it.  He will be back next week to help move us all out there to be with him.  Now, if we can get this beautiful weather that we've been having to hold out at least long enough to get this road trip done and us all settled in, I would feel quite blessed.  Wish us luck... I will update you more on the move later, but for now....

I want to share a card that I made for my M5D team awhile back and just never had the chance to post until now.  I thought I had better get it posted soon, or Valentine's Day will be here and gone, and this move will have sucked up all of my time.  I hope you enjoy it.  You can find many of the supplies that I used right at the McMahon Five Designs Store.  There are lots of other wonderful and creative things there too as well as samples from the very talented DT.  Have a look.  It will feel like Christmas all over again :)

Have a wonderful evening all, and I hope to be back soon to let you know all the fun things about my new house.  Until then, take care and many blessings to you all.

News to share....

Well, as you all know, the past several months, my life has been consumed with moving to a different state.  It has been quite the challenge and test of strength not to mention many other things.  I know that I have lost some followers due to my lack of posting, and I completely understand that if there is nothing to see, why stick around?  I do hope to get back to crafting once we are settled in our new home.  Thanks to all of my friends that are sticking with me.  Your friendship means a great deal.
Well, here it is.....our new house.  They finally accepted our offer today, and within about 5 weeks, we should be moving out there.  I don't envy any of you that are going through any kind of move right now. You have my prayers.   It was a long road and pretty much a fight every step of the way.  I am very thankful that this part is over...not that the actual move will be any easier, especially in the middle of the winter, but it'll get done.  I hope not to have to move again for some time though.
I hope that you are all enjoying this festive season and have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  This year sure did fly by.

Hugs and Blessings to all,

Changes and A Thanksgiving Wish

Life is all about changes.  Sometimes they are good changes and sometimes bad, but either way, change is inevitable.  As you can see from my photos, our house is now finally on the market, and we are searching for a new house in a new city that we will call home.  It is all so bittersweet as so many things in life are.  I am leaving the town that I have called home my whole life.  The house that we are selling is where our last baby was born and the house that we have lived in the longest since we have been married.  Our children for the most part grew up here, and I will miss it very much.  Many memories and milestones were shared in this house.  But as we all know...life must go on.  I hope that our new city and home will be a happy one for all of us.  It will be a very hectic year for holidays this year though.  I love the holidays, so this will be sort of sad for me.  I am going to try to make the best of it though.  I will really miss sharing the holidays with my family when we move.  It is not easy for us to travel with our children for many reasons, so I don't guess we will do it much once we are settled.  Well, I don't want to keep rambling about my reluctance, so I will switch gears here and wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving.  May you all have many blessing to come.  I am very thankful to have you as my friends here on blogger and love hearing from you all.  Enjoy your turkey dinners and all the other wonderful goodies that go with it.

This little guy and a couple of his friends are on our fence post every single day devouring the walnuts from our black walnut tree.  Our cats spend hours just watching every move they make. lol

Christmas Altered Tin

Trying as I might to find something to post for all my blogging friends.  I found this image that required very little coloring which is essential for me right now, so I put together this quick and easy altered tin to fill with some yummy Christmas candies for a little someone special in my life.   I think since this was so easy to do, that I might just do some more of them with a few different images if time  permits.  It is snowing here today, so I guess I am feeling the Christmas spirit a little bit.  My head is spinning so much these days, that it seems normal for me to skip right over Thanksgiving and dive right into Christmas.
Hoping that you can all take time to enjoy every special moment that this season brings.  It seems so much anymore that in the blink of an eye time passes us by.  Can't wait to slow down here and savor the moments once again.
Take care my friends, and have a beautiful weekend.......Happy Veteran's Day to all out there that have fought for peace and freedom in our world!  We appreciate you.
